Headed Out

by Matt MooneyJuly 6, 2013

Thanks to all of you who have made the blog series for the book launch so much fun; also thanks to those of you have encouraged me and help spread the word so well.

I am hurriedly attempting to type this out in a hotel room in Chicago. I’m typing on an iPad instead of my trusty sidekick laptop- cursing my fat fingers and the awkwardness more than I’ll relay.

I & 16 others are boarding a plane soon bound for Kenya. We will be working with children with disabilities in both Kenya & Uganda over the next 10 days. The trip is half professionals (physical therapists, nurses, counselor) and half day camp volunteers. The day camp volunteers will setup activities for the children and care for them in order to alleviate the caretakers so that they can receive training & instruction from the professionals.

99 Balloons will be posting daily updates here as we’ll as pics, etc. at the following: FaceBook (go like the page), twitter & Instagram.

Follow along & learn with us as we seek to better love & serve children with disabilities globally.
