Settling back home & an update on Oprah

by Matt MooneyAugust 14, 2013

Oprah…

Oprah is doing a “Where Are They Now” segment this Sunday at 7 central on our family and the work of 99 Balloons.  I haven’t seen it, so maybe it’s 10 seconds long or maybe it’s horrible or maybe they show a photo that focuses on my bad side.  But all the more reason for you to tune in.

So, figure out a way to find a t.v. with the OWN network.  Though this inquiry might be an awkward conversation starter with new acquaintances, perhaps you have friends who have it.  Fellas, let your wives ask….trust me on this one.

Around here…

Though I worked in the 5-week absence from my beloved Arkansas, there are just some things that stack up when your away.  I am living behind the stack; however, we are happily adjusting back to the Ozarks after summer adventures in Michigan, Uganda & Kenya.  I wanna blog- and go to the bathroom too, but just not enough hours in the day for both.

Ginny did a great job recapping the summer in photos on her blog.

Here’s to hoping that some folks are encouraged in the dark night of their souls through the show, the story, our beautiful son and the Redeemer.

I tune in to Oprah approximately never. I came across the “where are they now” segment completely by chance about 90 seconds before your segment aired. Surprise, Eliot’s story completely undid me…again. “dear eliot…’ Blessings to your beautiful family.
