the little tree in the front yard

when we first viewed this house, we saw the previous owner cooking in her kitchen as we walked up the drive.  i immediately loved that… the kitchen is long and narrow & has three large windows that face the front yard.  with a 2 year old & a 9 month old, i am in the kitchen a ton & there is just something so wonderful about all that light entering in & surrounding the dishes & goldfish & milk & bottles & whining & giggles.  my view lately is particularly spectacular.  i watch leaves fall & swirl up into the air as each car passes by.

i love this little maple tree in my front yard.  so, i’ve been photographing her as i chop veggies & smear the peanut butter.  she seems so content with change & just by observing her, i am becoming content too.
