summer planning & some motion pictures

by Matt MooneyMay 24, 2012

As of late, my writing time has been been sunk into another project which I am almost finished with; instead of doing that thing whereby I disappear, I thought I would post a couple of videos that I have stumbled across recently.  One of the more serious nature, and one not so much.  I will leave it to you to decipher.

Byway of quick catch up, we are contemplating driving our entire family to Michigan in July.  Read that again to be certain that yes, we have indeed lost our minds.  Many of you know that we often spend some time up north during the dog days of summer.  Ginny grew up going there every time her Louisiana home heated up and the tradition extends back to to her grandparents.  If you have ever been to Bay View in the summer, I assure you that you would, at least, then understand the pull north in summer days.

Lena has eye surgery in St. Louis in mid-July.  So, we’re thinking we may road trip on to Michigan since we would already be 6 hours into an approximate 16-ish hour drive.  Yes, we would drive.  It all gets confusing from there but we think we have almost figured it out.  I would work from Michigan and then return home while Ginny and the rascals stayed a bit longer.  I’m thinking we should live-time blog from the trip if we do it.  Heck, they should make a movie out of it….we for sure trump the Griswolds.  Of course, one detail could foil the fine tuned plan; we’ll keep you posted.
